Our young people have firsthand experience of the devastating impact of bullets; bullets have destroyed our young people, their families and communities. When a young person says that their love for others is “bulletproof,” in essence, they are saying, “what has destroyed so many of our lives and our communities, the thing we are most afraid of, it cannot touch the love I have for you.” To be brought into a love like that, words cannot do it justice.
